Prairie Wind Ranch is proud to present Alex, a premium seven year old Friesian stallion. As an excellent representative of his breed, Alex was chosen as a very young horse to be imported from the Netherlands. He was purchased by Prairie Wind Ranch in 2002 after a nation-wide search.
He possesses the classic Friesian characteristics of abundant hair, friendly disposition and high intelligence. Alex is a wonderful ambassador of the Friesian breed and he wins hearts everywhere he goes with his loving temperament and playful personality. He has been recognized in several print publications and has made public appearances in eight different states across the nation. In 2006 Alex attended the Friesian Grand Nationals in Lexington, Virginia where he won a National Reserve Champion title!
Versatility is the key descriptor for Alex as he has excelled in dressage, harness, exhibitions, western parades, and, most recently, trail riding. Alex is 16.3 hands and is homozygous black. He is available on a limited basis for breeding with quality mares of all breeds. His offspring have become friends and companions to their owners who regularly communicate to us how thrilled they are with their young Friesian crosses. Prairie Wind Ranch is occasionally able to offer premium young Friesian cross horses for sale including rare blue roan Friesians!
His sire, Anton 343, is currently the world’s second highest ranking Friesian stallion and his pedigree is full of the best of the best. He has been invited to participate in show venues from coast to coast and we are so proud and honored to be able to share him with his favorite friends here at the Black Hills Horse Expo. Alex invites you to stop by his stall on Stallion Showcase. |
